Worship

Mission Statement:

To facilitate an atmosphere of worship through music, media, sound and personal relationship in accordance to the leading of the Holy Spirit and God’s Word to help God’s people connect with God’s life changing presence and power. At New Community Church, we love to worship God through music and word that is evident when it springs forth from a lifestyle of worship.

Jesus told a Samaritan woman in John 4:23, 24, “But the time is coming—indeed it’s here now—when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. The Father is looking for those who will worship him that way. For God is Spirit, so those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth.”

God is seeking true worshipers and we are seeking the true God in worship and when we connect, we grow. We want to help people experience God and develop a life of worship.

The Worship Pastor is James Roots who has been involved in worship for 12 years and has led for 10 years. James has been the Worship Pastor of New Community Church for five years now. “I am very thankful to my pastor and church family for letting me do what I love to do. We have a good time when we worship, but more than that, we connect with God and He connects with us and that is what matters.” James’ passion is to lead God’s people in their pursuit of truth through worship. James is committed to training and equipping others to lead worship, too. Molly Richey is an Assistant Worship Leader at NCC as well. As an extension of New Community Church, James also ministers through the James Roots Worship Ministry. James released his debut album “You’re Everything” in February of 2006 and evangelizes with the James Roots Band. He seeks to serve the body of Christ and draw people into God’s presence through music and word, where his wife, Rochelle, sometimes shares a W.O.W. Moment (Word on Worship).
