Mission
Statement
To encourage, edify and equip women through God's Word and His body in
order so they can fulfill God's purposes and live the life Christ intended
for them as women, wives and mothers
|
At New Community Church, we are committed to
walking your journey of faith with you through the study of God's Word
and godly fellowship and meaningful relationships with other godly
women. We seek to be connected to the body of Christ AND be a healthy
connector for others.
"Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and prefects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne. Think of all the hostility He endured from sinful people; then you won't become weary and give up." Hebrews 12:1-3(NLT)
We at NCC believe that on the day we come to Christ, God places us on the starting line of our individual marathon. Where are you in your race? Have you dropped out? Given up? Gone off on a detour? It's time to be back in and start running!! When we get on the path that God has marked out for us, we begin to fulfill God's purposes for our lives and truly grow. Run with endurance as you fulfill God's plan for your life and we want to experience the race with you!
The Director of the “Women of Purpose” ministry of New Community Church is Rochelle Roots. Rochelle has been involved in ministry since she was 17 years old and is passionate about teaching God’s word and helping women grow spiritually. “I wholeheartedly believe that the Word of God is literally “life” to us as Jesus said and the basis for everything we do, including how we live day to day and what we choose to do with our lives.”
At times Rochelle shares a W.O.W. MOMENT (WORD ON WORSHIP) during Sunday morning services, and in addition to leading ladies bible studies, coordinating
women fellowships and retreats, Rochelle also speaks at women community events and other churches as the opportunities arise. She has authored
several bible studies, poems, devotions and even skits over the years. To read a few, please see Devotions. As an extension of NCC, she is also involved with her husband through the James Roots Worship Ministry. If you would like to contact Rochelle, please email her at rochelle@james-roots.com.
